KettleBells
Has anyone used one of these at home instead of going to to the gym for a 50+ guy?

They are more flexible then dumbells in terms of exercising your legs, arms and core but also the exercises are more dynamic so form and realistic knowledge of your capabilities are a must unless you like visiting the chiropractor.

Google for the range of exercises. Good luck.

PS Goose is right on the sandbag. Horrible bit of kit but very effective.

Re: KettleBells
Honestly buy and make your own sandbags.
They are cheaper than KB and much more challenging.

I don't go to the gym for a 50+ guy! I go there to exercise.
But, hey, free country.

At home I use dumbbells. That's just stupid.

My kettle just turns itself off.

Bells would be quite useful occasionally
